LOUD in words (: a life changing experience

wow, lol.. i've been procrastinating for a LOOONGG time :D
now, i have decided, to do it PROPERLY (:
hehhee..
On the 26th of July 2009,
me and Amanda, travelled to Kaylee's house to do our HAIR :D
this year, we decided that we'd rather do our hair,
by ourselves, instead of wasting more money,
just to get it done in a salon.

at Kaylee's house, i discovered that *gasp*
me and Kaylee's parents are from the SAME cellgroup! :D
ehhehe.

so, back to the point, on the day,
11 of the RIC girls, plus sara (leong) were busy doing their hair (:
we flipped through magazines,
cracking our brains on trying to find a suitable hairstyle for everyone..

we all tooks turns with the curling and straightening irons,
in the end, we took almost 5 hours to do our hair o.o
but the results were AWESOME!
each hairstyle had it's own specialty.

now, for the journey to church from kaylee's house...
in Kaylee's car, there were 6 of us,
Kaylee (driving), amanda, me, lynn, petra and alliyza.
when we finally arrived at church,
amanda suddenly said:"guys..it's LOUD today.."
it was only then that we all felt butterflies,
finally absorbing the fact that TODAY IS LOUD!
and we started screaming (as usual).

We practically RAN to the makeup room backstage..
in the makeup room, there were two LOVELY ladies :D
samantha and hannah, our make up artists,
we got to know them the night before (the trial run)
so, we were all happy and yeah :)

the atmosphere in the room was SO JUMPY!
everyone was busy getting their makeup done.
the boys, who had nothing to do,
decided to go out,
and play foosball.

After around 2 hours of hard make up work,
all the girls were shining..literally, SHINING!
we had glitter on our eye lids..

at around 4 o'clock, people started coming..
Daryll said that we could go out,
but we had to be back at 6 SHARP!
so hurriedly,
most of us left the make up room, to look for our friends..

My friends arrived at around 5 o'clock,
i was DELIGHTED to meet them..
i brought them around church,
first to the photo booth,
then the sports centre,
where they got tatoos and hairspray..
i was aware that someone was singing on stage..
but i didnt really pay much attention to it x)
(oops. sorry :S) lol

but time really flies when you're having fun..
it was 6 before i knew it..
i apologized to my friends and told them that you'll see me on stage!
and then i left..to return to the make up room.

In the make up room,
everyone was getting touch ups and lipstick..
well the girls x) ahhaha.
at that time, adrenaline was pumping through our body!

when we were all set to go, we went into the auditorium to pray.
we praed for the sound system,
the junkyard invaders,
the dew crew,
the cheer team (one of them had a sprained hand =/)
our dance team,
project gsus,
moks,
as well as every single person that was goign to step into the hall that night.

with our energy filled to the max,
we went back to the make up room,
waiting for the events to finally start..

everyone in the make up room started screaming
once we heard the screams coming from outside.
we all mumbled to ourselves,
"the doors are open, the doors are open"
from the little television inside the make up room,
i could see the count down..15 minutes,14,13,12,11,10..then we went outside to warm up.
when we returned it was already down to 3 mintues..
my heart was flying,
and ginormus butterflies were flying around in my stomach..
this was it.
LOUD 2009.

we were all DYING to go out on stage to glorify God.
just before our perfomance,
Daryll pulled us in for the last talk ever..
he said:"okay dance crew, this is it. one dance, 6 minutes, one God."
"we want to glorify God as much as we can."
"remember whatever i've said.get into character"
"put not 100% of energy into it. put 200% into it! for our God is a great God"
"come, lets pray.."

so as a team, we held hands,
and listened to Daryll pray the last prayer before we went on stage.
i felt like crying when i finally realized that this was the only chance i have to glorify God.
i made a mental note to push myself,
and come off stage sweating like MAD.

it was time for us to go on stage,
as we danced, i could feel the Lord moving in us.
it seemed like the BEST dance i have ever danced so far..
so much energy and strength put into it.

when we took our bow,
i felt so happy.
to see the crowd going WILD for our dance!
it was very comforting..
to know that the crowd saw that we had God in our lives.

when we went back to the make up room,
we were screaming softly (ahhaha)
because we couldn't scream too loud backstage.
hhehehe.

Daryll told us we could go into the auditorium for praise and worship.
i found some of my friends and i worshipped the Lord with them.
somewhere in the song, we made a train. ehhehe.
we ran through the crowd and yeah :D it was very fun.

soon, we had to return to the make up room to prepare for our finale.
we decided on the macarena! (: it was so last minute,
but so fun indeed.

When moks made the altar call, everyone in the room was like
:"shh!shh! altar call!!!"
we saw lots of people rising from their seats to go up front,
to receive God..
I started praying hard, that God would touch more hearts..one by one..
pssttt*
my friend told me that night that he felt the holy spirit and started crying :D
i was so pleased.ehhhe
anyways..

During the finale,
we felt really happy but sad at the same time..
happy because all those dance pratices and rehearsals were all worth it,
but sad because this was the last time we'd be on stage..till next year of course :D

we had great fun.
that night, when i got home,
i decided to reflect on what happened that day.

i realized that every single move we made on stage,
only happened because of God,
without him, we were just plain dancers.
but with him,
we were his paint brushes,
painting the floor for him,
to make a masterpiece.

It was delighting to see how God could move so much throught the people's lives,
i was happy i brought my friends,
so that in return,
they too would be saved and have eternal life.

Although the day was packed with all sorts of different activities and so on,
the whole point of LOUD,
was to bring youth, to the Lord..
most people would say..
"isn't youth too young? aren't they too young to make such a decision?"
well, there isn't a specific age to become a Christian..
to those out there that think you are too young to make a decision like this,
i would like to present you with a bible verse,

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

it is a bible verse that has spoken to me, when i felt like,
hmm..this isn't something that i should be bothered about,
let the adults do it..
but when i remember the bible verse, it spoke to me, and i did what i had to.

so YEAH :D

i can't wait to bring my friend to church again..
so that they would grow stronger and stronger towards God,
and live a purpose driven life..
